The settla app doesn't exist yet, so this page covers one thing only: the email address you give us if you join the waitlist. We'll publish a full app privacy policy before launch.

Who's behind this
Settla Solutions AS (org.nr. 931 103 814), an independent company registered at Fürstveien 49 A, 1367 Snarøya, Norway, is the data controller for the email addresses submitted on this site. You can reach the team at atle.timenes@settla.no.
What we collect
If you submit the waitlist form, we receive:
- the email address you typed,
- the date and time you submitted it,
- and a short, rotating hash used to prevent automated abuse.
We don't set advertising cookies, run third-party analytics, or fingerprint your browser. The only cookie this site uses is a single preference one to remember your language choice (EN / NO) — and that one lives entirely on your device.
What we use it for
One purpose: to send you a single email when the settla app launches, so you can be among the first to download it. That's it.
We won't email you between now and launch unless something important changes — for example, if we have to delay the launch, or if we ever change this policy in a way that affects you.
Where it lives
Waitlist emails are stored in a database hosted inside the European Economic Area, with encryption at rest. Backups are kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
We use a small number of EU-based vendors to send launch emails and host this site. They process data on our behalf, under written agreements, and they can't use it for anything else.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Norwegian personal-data law, you have the right to know what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you think we've handled it badly.
Write to atle.timenes@settla.no and we'll respond within 30 days — usually within a few working days.
How long we keep it
Until launch + 60 days, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever comes first. After the launch email goes out, we offer a clear one-click unsubscribe, and we delete the address from active systems within 7 days of unsubscribing.
If this changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters — for example, by collecting something new — we'll email everyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect, and we'll keep prior versions linked at the bottom of this page.
